Viglacera will apply Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) for the entire Office of the Corporation, subsidiaries and affiliates which Viglacera holds majority of shares
Recently, ERP Steering Committee of Viglacera Corporation - JSC held a meeting to set plans for ERP implementation (period 2015 – 20160) based on the "Survey and assessment report of capability to deploy ERP" in 6 units as mentioned in the first meeting session.
According to Mr. Vu Luu Phuong - Head of Information Technology (IT) of the Corporation, after surveying six units, Viglacera Float Glass Company is a unit with the best conditions to deploy ERP, other units should continue preparing for ERP deployment.
From Phase 1 Survey of the IT Department, the ERP Steering Committee requested IT Department to lead an “Overall Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Implementation” project applied to the entire Office of the Corporation, subsidiaries and affiliates which the Corporation holds majority of shares. The project should ensure the success of ERP deployment for the entire range above, and also ensure the capability to apply it at the soonest in order to deliver effectiveness to the Corporation and its units. This is a big project with long-term strategy, so ERP Steering Committee also asked the IT department to be in charge of organizing bidding to select and supervise an independent consultant capable for building and ensuring quality of the Project.
Besides, ERP Steering Committee also asked the IT Department to continue additional surveys in 5 units: Viglacera Shower and Faucet Company, Viglacera Viet Tri JSC, Viglacera Thanh Tri Sanitary Ware JSC, Viglacera Thang Long JSC, Viglacera Ha Noi JSC. Based on the survey results of these 5 units and other 6 units mentioned earlier, IT Department will propose an option, a plan to carry out IT capacity building in each unit in order to meet necessary requirements to deploy ERP.
Deploying Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) at the Overall scope is considered an important step in promoting the development of Viglacera in upcoming period, and could help the Corporation build an efficient, modern information management system, in combination with powerful IT applications and operation process standards.
