VIGLACERA – Top 10 National Green Brands

On June 2^nd, Viglacera Corporation - JSC was honored to be awarded the “Top 10 National Green Brands” and “Top 20 Eco – Friendly Products” for Viglacera energy-saving glass by the Vietnam Association of Environmental Economics.

Climate change is a global problem, a serious challenge for humanity in the 21st century, and Vietnam is one of the most severely affected countries. Therefore, the Government has developed many national programs to respond to climate change and green growth in the current period, including specific programs on building materials and real estate. With the practical contribution to building and protecting the Green environment according to Party and State, Viglacera was honored to be awarded the “Top 10 National Green Brands”. 

In the past years, as a leading enterprise in building materials production in Vietnam and the "eldest brother" in the industry, Viglacera actively applied world's most advanced technology in producing building materials follow the direction of “Green growth” - production and business must go together with environmental protection. Specifically, Viglacera has continuously launched eco-friendly product lines, energy saving, protecting consumers' health and providing a truly fresh living space without affecting the environment. Typical products to mention in Viglacera's green materials strategy are energy saving glass, autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) block and panel, clinker brick, antibacterial nano-glazed surface of Viglacera sanitarywares… and forthcoming is ultra-white glass used in the production of solar panels.

Within the framework of the ceremony, Viglacera energy saving glass was awarded the “Top 20 eco-friendly products”. Viglacera energy saving glass include Low-E glass and Solar control glass have been certified by the Institute of German (IFT) to DIN 1096:2012 (Germany). Some of the highlights are: prevent up to 79% heat from solar radiation through glass and 90% UV, save up to 51% on electricity costs for air conditioning systems. Products are available in a variety of colors and sizes, and can be used in box glass, laminated glass and monolayer glass.

In addition to building materials field, Viglacera also constantly develops green elements in its real estate projects, by enhancing infrastructure and green space in the industrial park, investing in the synchronous construction of environmentally friendly houses from building materials, design, landscape, living space utility to the waste management infrastructure, etc.

The “Top 10 National Green Brands” and the "Top 20 Eco-friendly products" for energy saving glass are the result of Viglacera's efforts to implement green development strategy. This is also the foundation for Viglacera to continue its strategy of sustainable development, contribute to the cause of environmental protection in the industrialization and modernization of the country.
