As the real estate market began to recover, 2015 became the recovery step for many real estate and building material enterprises. In particular, during a fluctuated period of the economy, 2015 became the perfect opportunity for Viglacera to develop and strengthen its position with many milestones. In addition, the chance for Viglacera’s breakthroughs was even higher after it was transformed to a joint stock company.

1. First year Viglacera operated under joint-stock model with strong growth

Officially transformed to joint-stock company from 07/2014, the year 2015 became the first year Viglacera operated under this new model, and was a confirmation for the effectiveness of the model.

Key production results grew dramatically and highly exceeded targets set by Ministry of Construction, and Shareholders. Expected growths in 2015 compared to 2014 are: Profits increased by 52%; Business results increased by 3%, and profits increased by 4% compared to the plan.

2. Complete Yearly Business Plan set for 2011-2015; Approve 5 year plan for 2016-2020

Based on results during 2011 - 2014 and expected results of 2015, expected profit for period 2011-2015 is 1,704.5 billion VND, increased by 14% compared to the plan set by Ministry of Construction; production value will reach 58,183 billion VND and total revenue will reach 58,174 billion VND.

For the 5-year period, from 2016 to 2020: Viglacera continues to set key business targets higher than those in the period 2011- 2015, profit growth is set from 10-15%.

3. Viglacera delivered high-level Training and Human Resources development, qualified by the UK, and awarded UK Certification by the British Council

2015 created a milestone for Viglacera international integration in all aspects, from manufacturing to research and training. With success of international training cooperation, there will be a significant change in "quality" of Viglacera, in terms of expertise, mastery of advanced production technology. Viglacera will be ready to compete with bigger rivals on the world. Viglacera has always considered manpower quality as the "core" for sustainable development, so Viglacera pays special attention to the training and development of human resources, and determined this factor as foundation for overall development of the Corporation.

Training cooperation between Viglacera Corporation - JSC and Proskills UK is one of the most prominent human resource development programs of the year. This cooperation was mutually and positively developed at high efficiency, and was preparing for Viglacera College to receive the UK Vocational College Certification. Also, this cooperation has also been awarded the International Partnership of the Year Award for Development Cooperation program between Viglacera and Proskills UK by the British Council. This is the only partnership among a total of 25 countries awarded by the British Council.

In addition to the training cooperation with UK, Viglacera deployed several effective collaborations with leading universities in Vietnam, including University of Civil Engineering, Hanoi University of Science and Technology for a wide-scale training, from skilled workers to engineers, masters.

By end of 2015, the Corporation has sent 73 staff for admission of graduate programs in non-metallic material, material science, and/or project management; of which: 08 students had graduated in non-metallic material from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, 02 students had graduated in material science and technology from University of Civil and Engineering, the rest are still learning and expected to graduate in 2016.

To save time, cost for training for newly graduates, and meet the needs of the Corporation, Viglacera also sign a contract with University of Civil and Engineering on engineering & construction material. With this partnership, Viglacera will support students since they are at school, so that they can do internship in Viglacera production environment. This helps them get use to the actual work and save much of study time before graduation.

4. Viglacera pioneered in high-tech building material manufacturing in Vietnam with Viglacera energy-saving glass.

Viglacera energy saving glass project is a "High-Tech" project, approved by the Prime Minister on 13.01.2015 and certified by the Ministry of Science and Technology for operation and application by Decision No. 2456 / QD-BKHCN on 22/09/2015. Project scale is 5,000,000m2 / year, including two investment phases: Phase I – one production line with capacity of 2,300,000m2 / year in Tan Dong Hiep District - Di An - Binh Duong, and Phase 2 – one production line with capacity from 2,300,000 - 2,700,000m2/ year, in Bac Ninh province. All design, technical documentation, cargo, installation, technology transfer will be supplied by Von Ardenne GmbH - the world's leading corporation in glazing equipment and technology.

Investment in "energy-saving glass production line project" is an important milestone which marked a pioneering role of Viglacera in implementing policies of the state in new product, green products, environmental protection. This also affirms its proactive steps to restructure product range, improve competitiveness and meet the needs of the use of green and sustainable of building material products in Vietnam. Viglacera energy saving glass products will replace imported products and boost exporting, to actively prepare for the "playground" new integration such as TPP (Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement) and bilateral and multilateral Trade Agreements will take effect soon... In particular, this product will solve the problem of energy saving for consumers by saving 30-40% of energy costs for air conditioning systems.

5. Viglacera completed investment and construction in Social Housing sector in Dang Xa Urban Area - Gia Lam – Hanoi, and pioneered in the Social Housing for Rent development strategy in Hanoi

In February 2015, Viglacera officially handed-over Dang Xa Social Housing –phase 3, increasing the number of apartments for low-income people in urban area to more than 3500 units in Dang Xa, and marked the completion of the investment, construction in Social Housing sector in Dang Xa Urban Area - Gia Lam - Hanoi.

Dang Xa social housing in Dang Xa Urban Area is recognized by Minister Trinh Dinh Dung as a urban zone model which should be replicated in Hanoi and other provinces. Besides, social housing project also noted as "high quality construction" by MOC and named "green architecture" by Vietnam Architect Association.

Social housing projects developed by Viglacera always ensure 3 criteria: Optimal design, comfortable environment; use of quality, environmentally friendly, comprehensive building materials; shorten construction time and ensure social infrastructural services.

Besides, Viglacera is also an enterprise to initiate the construction, development of social housing for rent in Hanoi. The project is built on a plot NO3 and NO4 of Dang Xa 2 Urban Area, with a total area of 10,000m2, including two 6-storey buildings, 270 apartments with an area of 45, 47, 60 and 69.5m2 with prices from 1 million to 2 million / month, 40-60% cheaper than the rate in the market with the same size.

While demonstrating social responsibility when investing in housing for low-income people, Viglacera also shows its responsibility for workers, labors in the industrial zones. In 2015, for preparation of Samsung Display $3-billion project in Yen Phong Industrial Zone, Viglacera has launched a worker housing area in Yen Phong urban area - Bac Ninh province with 439 units at a total investment of 80 billion VND.

6. Viglacera gradually expanded overseas investment and set the first milestone in the Republic of Cuba.

Expanding oversea investment is one development strategy of Viglacera in upcoming years, and Cuba became the first country to establish a joint-venture with Viglacera in building material production.

The project was paid special attention and highly recognized by Minister of Trade and Foreign Investment of Cuba – Mr. Rodrigo Malmierca Diaz, and Minister of Construction of Cuba – Mr. Rene Mesa Villafana. Government of the Republic of Cuba considers this project especially important for Cuba. This project is a prerequisite for the expansion of cooperation with other countries after a long embargo time.

Currently, both sides have prepared initial steps for the establishment of the joint ventures in producing sanitary wares and ceramic tiles in Cuba. Recently, General Director of Viglacera Corporation - JSC Nguyen Anh Tuan and his delegation have visited and worked with Cuban building material group, visited production plants and signed minutes of meetings, Memorandum of understanding on 09 cooperation programs with high commitment to launch these joint ventures on time.

7. Viglacera expanded investments in industrial zones in the North and Central of Vietnam

On the first days of 2015, Viglacera has launched Phu Ha Industrial Zone. Phase 1 of the project has a total area of 350 hectares with a total investment of 1,730 billion VND. Phu Ha Industrial Zone is one of many Industrial Zones in Phu Tho province, which was put on the list of prioritized industrial zones to be developed till 2015 and oriented to 2020. This industrial zone is also multi, high-tech industrial area focused on electronic industry, advanced construction materials, food processing, beverages, engineering goods, pharmaceuticals, etc. Especially, this industrial zone has a leasing fee which is half of other industrial zones’ in the region. In particular, while the neighboring industrial zone leasing fee is about USD60-65/m2, Phu Ha Industrial Zone proposed rents is about35-40USD/m2.

Afterward, Viglacera noted in Central Vietnam by becoming the first enterprise to invest an industrial zone in Hue ancient city. Phong Dien Viglacera Industrial Zone with a total area of 284.32 hectares, with total investment of over 681 billion VND, is a multi, high-tech industrial area focused on less polluted industries like power industry, electronic & information technology, agro-forestry, fisheries, food and beverages, textiles, building materials, mining and mineral processing, sand processing, etc.

8. Viglacera launched various types of smart, energy saving, environmentally friendly building materials.

As the oldest brother in building material manufacturing in Vietnam, Viglacera proactively develop new, high quality products by applying new, modern technologies, as well as develop its human resources. Viglacera has officially launched smart sanitary wares, advanced antibacterial tiles. With two new products, once again confirms strong competitiveness of Vietnamese enterprises with major brands in the world in this industry.

Viglacera smart sanitary wares have elegant design and integrate many modern features such as: nozzle disinfection with UV light, warming water, waste water backflow protection, ordor prevention, Phytoncide natural antiseptic, warming in winter, automatic incident detection, antibacterial sitting lid, massage with water, cleaning sequence for the elderly, women, children... In conjunction with nano-glazed technology, surface of sanitary ware becomes brighter, anti-fouling and automated disinfection, certified to kill 89% of bacteria like Ecoli toxic, styphi, bcereus...

Antibacterial tiles are the latest product type of Viglacera which also apply Nano TiO2 coated antibacterial technology. 9. Establishment of Visaho JSC - Viglacera upgrades its operation management of real estate projects to international standards.

Therefore, Viglacera cooperated with Sankei Building Management Company from Japan, Hoang Thanh Infrastructure Investment and Development JSC, and OWI company to establish VISAHO JSC. Sankei Building Management, from Sankei Building Group is a leading company in real estate investment and management in Japan.

The company will provide solutions to professionally manage and operate real estate projects, creating living and working environment at Japanese standards. Its purpose is to bring satisfaction to customers, increase value of properties for owners and gradually increase competitiveness. In the near future, the company will focus on management consultancy, operation of housing projects and invest in service and industrial zone projects.

10. Viglacera won "Gold Quality Award and international services" for the 2nd consecutive time, and "Famous Brands" 06 years in a row.
