Proskills, a UK Vocational Skills Council, conducted Assessor/Internal Quality Assurer Training at subsidiaries of Viglacera Corporation – JSC

Within the cooperation in vocational training program at international quality standards between Viglacera and Proskills UK, Proskills recently conducted "Assessor/Internal Quality Assurer(IQA) Training" for assessors and internal quality assurers in manufacturing units under Viglacera Corporation – JCS, as well as a Curriculum Design Training at Viglacera Vocational College.

Proskills UK has conducted assessment training practices at Viglacera Float Glass Company, Viglacera Binh Duong Sanitary Ware JSC, Viglacera Thanh Tri Sanitary Ware JSC, Viglacera Thang Long JSC, Viglacera Hanoi JSC,  Viglacera Ba Hien JSC, Viglacera Dong Trieu JSC and Viglacera Ha Long JSC.

The assessment training practices, conducted by Mr. Andy Rotherham, for assessors and internal quality verifiers, focused on managerial staff from basic level as foreman, to higher level like supervisor and staff of administrative department. Staff, who will be trained as trainers, will support or conduct further training for other workers at each unit.

The assessment process will include observation of learners’ (workers’) performance at workplaces, questioning about their knowledge and understanding of work. Especially, in the new assessment system, there is no concept of "failure", which means learners will receive further, additional training for their competence improvement to better understand about  each individual’s role in the organization.

Ms. Afshan Baksh - Proskills UK conducted Curriculum Design Training at Viglacera Vocational College

Along with assessment training, the Curriculum Design Training was conducted by Ms. Afshan Baksh at Viglacera Vocational College. Targets of this training are teachers of the college who need to build and develop their curriculum, lectures, materials under international standards, so that from which increase the quality of teaching and training for students.

Talking about study visits at subsidiaries of Viglacera, Mr. Andy Rotherham said he felt satisfied that Viglacera staff has quickly received the knowledge during his short training. The expert was always ready for any further support or explanation on any issue raised by workers during sessions. This helped Viglacera staff understand and practice very well.

Thanks to these positive results from this current project, Viglacera and Proskills UK have just decided to build a higher educational training project, from bachelor level upward, which will be equivalent to national qualification framework and match the actual needs of the Corporation.
