Viglacera Corporation - JSC held the Employee Representative Conference 2018 at the office of the parent company

According to Decree 60/2013/ND-CP of the Government detailing Clause 3, Article 63 of the Labor Code and Circular 175/HD-TLD of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor guiding the Trade Union to develop and implement the grassroots democracy regulation at the workplace. On February 12, 2018, the parent company office of Viglacera Corporation - JSC successfully held the Employee Delegation Conference 2018.

Attending and directing the meeting was Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - General Director of the Corporation, members of the Board of Directors, Deputy General Director of the Corporation, Executive Board of the Corporation’s Trade Union, Heads and Deputy Heads of all departments and all staff at the parent company office.

In an open and democratic atmosphere, the Conference heard some reports: the business results of 2017 and task directions of 2018; the summary report on emulation movements; the implementation of the Collective Labor Agreement, policies towards employees, etc.

Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan – Deputy General Director of the Corporation reported the business results of 2017 and task directions of 2018 of the the parent company office  

In 2017, under the authoritative, active and flexible operation of Viglacera Corporation’s Board of Management, along with a growing consensus among employees, the production and business activities result has reached and also surpassed main targets. The corporation’s combined revenue reached the amount of 16.486 billion dong, which is 10% higher that of 2016. Also, the Corporation combined profit before tax reached 1.019 billion VND, equivalent to 122% of the year’s target, including 538.6 billion VND of gross profit from parent company, a 22% higher than the performance in 2016. These are record numbers Viglacera has managed to achieve until now.

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh, Chairman of the Corporation Office’s Trade Union reported on the activities of the Trade Union Executive Board and the implementation of the Collective Labor Agreement in 2017 and the main tasks of the Trade Union Executive Board in 2018

After monitoring all final reports of the Board of Directors, the Executive Board of the Trade Union and the task directions in 2018, representatives of departments present presentations, solutions to implement the business plan 2018 and thoughts, aspirations of the employees.

Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - General Director of the Corporation delivered a speech at the conference 

After listening and acknowledging all the comments of staff working at the parent company office, General Director Nguyen Anh Tuan shared: “2018 will be a turning point for the Corporation when the state capital decreases to 36%. With a large number of shares held by foreign shareholders, this creates a higher pressure on the efficiency of production and business. All individuals in the Corporation - from the top executives level to the staff level - need to try harder, be proactive and be more professional in our work, maximize our ability to achieve the best results, contribute to the development of the entire Corporation in the new period”. 

The conference was closed successfully with 100% of delegates agreeing to adopt the Resolution of the Conference.
