Southern Vietnam is entering an unprecedented decade of urban growth. However, this rapid development is accompanied by challenges unique to the region. Climate change has brought increasingly frequent extremes, with Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces experiencing prolonged heatwaves interspersed with localized flooding. At the same time, accelerating urbanization and the expansion of large-scale real estate developments, industrial parks, and satellite urban areas have created unprecedented pressure on construction schedules. Meanwhile, construction safety requirements—particularly fire prevention and firefighting (PFPF) standards—have become increasingly stringent following a number of tragic incidents in densely populated residential areas.

For developers, contractors, and architects in Southern Vietnam, the challenge is no longer simply selecting high-quality building materials. Instead, the priority is to adopt integrated material systems capable of supporting the fast-paced delivery of mega projects while ensuring resilience against harsh climatic conditions, improving energy efficiency, and maintaining long-term operational safety.

Rather than presenting individual products in isolation, Viglacera introduces at Vietbuild Ho Chi Minh City 2026 an integrated portfolio of six green and smart building solutions. Developed as a comprehensive system, these solutions are designed to address the practical challenges of modern urban development while enabling contractors, architects, and end-users to optimize project management, enhance construction efficiency, and create sustainable living environments.

Local Manufacturing Capacity Optimizes the Supply Chain in Southern Vietnam

A key differentiator enabling Viglacera to support major developments in Southern Vietnam is its extensive manufacturing network located within the region. Covering virtually every major product category included in the six integrated solutions—from energy-efficient glass and ultra-clear glass to ceramic tiles, premium sintered stone, and sanitary ware—these facilities represent some of the largest and most technologically advanced production lines in Vietnam's building materials industry.

Maintaining an integrated manufacturing base in Southern Vietnam provides three significant advantages to the market:

Reduced logistics costs and shorter lead times, ensuring timely supply for large-scale urban developments, industrial parks, and social housing projects with demanding construction schedules.

Stable and reliable supply, minimizing dependence on long-distance transportation and reducing the risk of supply chain disruptions during peak construction periods.

The ability to serve diverse market segments simultaneously, ranging from premium commercial developments and integrated urban projects to industrial factories and affordable housing, supported by large production capacity and a comprehensive product portfolio covering the entire building lifecycle.

With these advantages, Viglacera positions itself not merely as a building materials supplier but as a strategic local partner capable of accompanying developers throughout every phase of a project—from design and construction to long-term operation.

Six Solutions Featured at Vietbuild Ho Chi Minh City 2026

At the exhibition, Viglacera presents six integrated green and smart building solutions designed to meet the evolving demands of modern urban development, including climate adaptation, energy conservation, accelerated construction, health protection, fire safety, and sustainability.

The first solution is designed to enhance resilience against storms and flooding, addressing the frequent heavy rainfall and localized inundation experienced by Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces during the rainy season. High-strength porcelain paving tiles can be installed using an open-joint system, allowing a substantial volume of rainwater to naturally infiltrate into the ground through the joints, while the remaining runoff is directed to the project's drainage collection system. Meanwhile, premium glazed roof tiles, featuring excellent resistance to water leakage and uplift under strong winds, contribute to a more durable building envelope capable of withstanding the increasingly extreme weather conditions in Southern Vietnam.

The second solution focuses on energy efficiency, particularly in response to prolonged periods of high temperatures that place increasing demands on cooling systems in urban buildings, especially those with west-facing façades. Viglacera's Solar Control and Low-E energy-efficient glass, manufactured using German Magnetron sputtering technology and certified with the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), is capable of blocking up to 79% of solar heat and 99% of ultraviolet (UV) rays, thereby reducing the energy consumption of cooling systems by up to 51%.

The third solution comprises a range of building materials designed to accelerate construction, meeting the demanding project schedules of the Southern market, where developments are consistently under pressure in terms of time, cost, and labor. ALC panels, with each panel capable of replacing approximately 75 conventional bricks, can reduce construction time by nearly half while lowering structural loads by 10–15%. Combined with large-format tiles, these materials promote greater construction mechanization and optimize resource utilization for large-scale projects.

The fourth solution focuses on protecting users' health, aligning with the growing trend of Wellness Architecture in modern living environments. ViGuard™ super antibacterial ceramic glaze, featuring active antibacterial properties, PVD-coated faucets compliant with the European RoHS Directive, and touchless sanitary ware together form a safe and hygienic bathroom solution, meeting the increasing demand for healthier living in densely populated urban areas.

The fifth solution is dedicated to passive fire protection, responding to increasingly stringent fire safety requirements, particularly those stipulated under QCVN 06, in building design and construction. Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) and Autoclaved Lightweight Concrete (ALC) products can withstand fire while maintaining structural integrity for 4 to 6 consecutive hours. Meanwhile, 6 mm ultra-thin sintered stone for interior applications provides a non-combustible alternative to combustible materials such as natural wood, thereby extending the available time for rescue operations, emergency response, and evacuation in the event of a fire.

The sixth solution is designed to create sustainable living spaces in line with the ESG trend in the construction industry by reducing the consumption of natural resources, conserving water, and minimizing emissions throughout a building's lifecycle. Full-body sintered stone, wood-look porcelain tiles that overcome the warping and termite susceptibility of natural timber, and water-saving sanitary ware capable of reducing water consumption by up to 25% represent practical choices for green buildings and sustainable living environments.
