The new ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to visit Viglacera Corporation
On 29/01/2018, Mr. Le Quang Hung – Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Construction and Viglacera’s Board of Directors has welcomed Mrs. Lianys Torres Rivera, the new ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in Vietnam.

After more than 57 years of established official diplomatic relations, the relationships between Vietnam and the Republic of Cuba has been strengthened and developed in many socio-economic fields. In 2017 both sides have made many new progresses in bilateral relationships, through a wide range of comprehensive and effective exchanges at the State, Ministry, and business level, and also in the economic, trade and investment sectors. Hence, Viglacera's projects in Cuba continue to be actively promoted in 2017 with the support and participation of the many ministries, intergovernmental of the two countries.

At the Headquarter of Viglacera Corporation, new ambassador visited Viglacera's traditional House, a place to preserve the traditional values of the Corporation and also of the development history of the entire construction materials industry in Vietnam.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - General Director of the Corporation congratulated Mrs. Lianys Tores Rivera on the occasion of her new assignment in Vietnam. He believes that she would actively promote the traditional friendship and cooperation between the two countries as well as between Viglacera Corporation and Cuban Enterprises.

In recent years, Viglacera Corporation has stepped up its cooperation with the Cuban Ministry of Construction and with many major corporations in Cuba in three main areas: Construction materials, Hotel & Resort investment, and Infrastructure development of industrial zones. By the end of 2017, the Cuban government has approved the establishment of the SANVIG joint venture to renovate two sanitary wares and tile factories in Cuba.

In addition, Viglacera will continue to prepare to invest in infrastructure development of industrial zones in the Mariel Special Economic Zone and to establish an investment joint venture in the existing Hotel sector of the Grand Caribe Group in Cuba. Also Viglacera's direct exports of building materials to Cuba are also growing. The export turnover to Cuba in 2017 has reached $ 7 million, up to 2.3 times compared to 2016.

On her part, the new Ambassador has thanked Viglacera’s Board of Directors and congratulated the Corporation on its progress and development in all aspect in recent years.
During the meeting, the General Director of Viglacera Corporation - JSC shared many information and issues related to the key projects that Viglacera is deploying in Cuba. Viglacera wished to be supported by the Cuban government in many aspects, such as approval and administrative procedures to ensure the progress and quality of the projects.
Viglacera’s opinions were recognized by Mrs. Lianys Tores Rivera and she proposed that the two sides will regularly update the progress and exchange information to ensure that the projects are implemented on schedule.
Finally, Mrs. Lianys Torres Rivera expressed her desire to contribute to the development of Vietnam and Cuba and she also asserted that she would support Vietnamese enterprises so that the investment projects in Cuba would achieve good results.
