Ground breaking ceremony of Van Hai Ecological Tourism Project, Quan Lan - Quang Ninh

Celebrating 44th anniversary, Viglacera Corporation officially marks a new turning point in its real estate development strategy by a ground breaking ceremony of Van Hai Advanced Ecological Tourism Project on July 24th 2018. This is the first resort project on Quan Lan Island - Van Don - Quang Ninh.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Tran Nam - President of Vietnam Real Estate Association, Former Vice Minister of Construction; Mr. Paul Stone - General Director of CHAO Global - Project Development Consultant; Mr. Michael Paul Piro - Indochina Capital Managing Director, together with former top executives, board of directors of the Corporation, directors of subsidiaries and representatives of investment funds - the major shareholders of Viglacera.



The perspective of Van Hai Advanced Ecological Tourism Project 

Pursuant to the Decision No 2769/QD-UBND dated July 23rd 1977 of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province on the approval of the investment policy of Van Hai Advanced Ecological Tourism Project, Viglacera Corporation officially held the ground breaking ceremony of the project on July 24th 2018. This decision was important when it was announced on the occasion of the 44th anniversary of Viglacera Corporation. The project is carried out by Viglacera Van Hai JSC - a subsidiary of Viglacera Corporation with a total area of ​​75 ha including two phases. Viglacera will focus on implementing the first phase of the project with an area of ​​35.79ha, including 01 4-5 star hotel, 37 villas and other convenient services/ technical infrastructure such as: conference area, exhibition grounds, reception area, restaurant, swimming pool, indoor sports area, tennis court, children's play area, shopping area, massage - spa area, fishing area, garden...

In addition, Mr. Tran Hong Quang - Chairman of Viglacera Van Hai JSC added: In order to facilitate traffic as well as attract tourists, Viglacera will renovate seaports and invest in synchronous means of transport: High-speed boat to pick up and welcome guests from the mainland to the island and vice versa; Electric vehicles to transport passengers from the port to the resort as well as travel within the resort to ensure environmental friendliness; Luxury cruise to visit Bai Tu Long Bay and Halong Bay, water motorbikes, parasailing, surfing and other thrilling games.

The special feature of the Van Hai luxury resort is that it is a new type of tourism aimed at tackling the adverse weather problems (winter in Northern Vietnam - low season in tourist areas) called M.I.C.E. M.I.C.E is an abbreviation of the words Meeting, Incentive, Convention and Exhibition which is the type of service for companies, businesses that hold events can take place at any time of the year.


Mr Michael Paul Piro - Indochina Capital Managing Director - advised the Investor to select the project manager and introduced the potential and opportunities of Van Hai Advanced Ecological Tourism Project

The construction of Van Hai ecotourism and resort will meet the needs of tourists in the country and abroad in the summer, the requirements of holding conferences and seminars of enterprises in all all seasons. In addition, the investment in the complete and and synchronous technical infrastructure system also contributes to create a new appearance of the ecological zone, beautiful space and architecture, sustainable structure,...of the world-class ecological resort.

Van Don is one of the main tourist attractions of Quang Ninh province with many featured products, of which island tourism is one of the most prominent advantages that make up the Quang Ninh tourism brand value. Van Don has unique natural resources preserved unspoiled beauty: 600 large and small islands, stretched beachs, white sand and blue water. Besides, Van Don is also a place that preserves historical, cultural, architectural and artistic values through the periods. 

Quan Lan island is located in Van Don district, including two communes Quan Lan and Minh Chau. These two communes are home of many beautiful and unspoilt beaches, such as Minh Chau, Quan Lan, Son Hao and Con Khoi beaches. The island also has other famous historical and cultural relics such as Van Don ancient port, Quan Lan communal house, Van Son temple and other famous landscapes such as rocky beach, Tram forest, Crystal sand dunes, etc. In addition, visitors to the island have the opportunity to experience in planting vegetables, flowers, squid fishing, fishing and so on.

With an annual growth rate of over 30%, both in terms of turnover and number of tourists, Ha Long tourism has created a strong attraction for investors in this field. It is forecasted that by 2020 there will be 7 million tourists, of which Van Don district attracts about 15% of the total number of tourists in the province.
