Hanoi will have 1,588 more social housing in Kim Chung new urban area, Dong Anh

On 14th October, the joint venture between Hanoi Housing Development and Investment Corporation (HANDICO) and Viglacera Corporation - JSC broke the ground for a social housing project in plot CT3, CT4 of Kim Chung new urban area, Dong Anh, Hanoi. In the context of the real estate market is oversupply of commercial housing, but lack of social housing supplies for low-income people and workers, this project, when completed, will contribute to the city's social housing fund with 1,588 apartments. This contributes positively to ensure the social security of the Capital and the implementation of the National Strategy for housing development in 2020 with a vision to 2030 of the Government; housing development plan in Hanoi period 2016-2020.

In terms of profitability, investing in social housing is not the choice of many businesses. With the responsibility of the business and responds to the policy of attracting all resources for the development of the low-cost housing fund of the Government and implementation of the social housing development policy of Hanoi, a joint venture between Handico and Viglacera Corporation - JSC has cooperated and deployed the investment of social housing project in plots CT3, CT4 in Kim Chung new urban area, Dong Anh. This project will soon create more housing funds for social policy beneficiaries, low income people and poor people in the city.

The social housing project in Kim Chung - Dong Anh has an area of nearly 3.7 ha, including 04 monoliths on plots CT3, CT4, high 9-12 floors. This project with 1,588 apartments is expected to complete in 2020 and will accommodate more than 5,330 people. The total investment of the project is about VND 1,300 billion.

Perspectives of Kim Chung social housing project (Thăng Long Green City)

This is a very fast deployment project. The commencement of this project demonstrates the determination of the City Party Committee, People's Council and City People's Committee in implementing the Prime Minister's plan assigned to Hanoi in the period 2016 - 2020, will have to build 6.2 million m2 of housing for low-income people, including workers in industrial zones, said Chairman of the People's Committee Nguyen Duc Chung.

So far, Hanoi has implemented 43 projects with 3.5 million m2 of housing, has completed 6 projects. In order to complete the Prime Minister's plan, from now until 2020, the city will continue implementing social housing projects with about 2.7 million m2 of housing.

Chairman of the City People's Committee added that these two corporations implemented this project in recent times have built many commercial housing projects, resettlement houses, social housing in the city as well as the country. In particular, Viglacera Corporation - JSC is the first social housing construction developer in the country with Dang Xa, Gia Lam project. With the prestige and ability to manage the project, the city has entrusted this joint venture to carry out the project.

"The project demonstrates the commitment of city leaders to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, to workers at the Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in building and developing social housing in Hanoi" - Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung stressed.

For this project to be completed soon, on behalf of the city's leaders, Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung suggested that Handico and Viglacera Corporation must closely coordinate the implementation of measures and solutions to soon complete the works on schedule. Based on that, to develop plan options and approve purchase records of individuals in accordance with the standards of who can buy social housing.

He also asked the District Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee of Dong Anh District and leaders of departments and sectors to create conditions for the investor to implement the project in the most convenient and timely manner.

With determination to build a social housing project with quality and utility equivalent to commercial housing, the Kim Chung social housing project was named Thang Long Green City - a green urban area, an ideal living space for people with utilities to be invested synchronously, such as green parks, community houses, promenades, small parks, fountains, etc. The project is a complete urban area, a highlight of landscape architecture in Dong Anh district in particular and Hanoi in general.

The project uses environmentally friendly building materials that are produced directly from Viglacera's factories such as autoclaved aerated concrete blocks and panels, energy-saving glass, complete sets ofgood quality sanitary wares and tiles.

Thang Long Green City is located in an area with synchronous transport  and social infrastructure, conveniently located near North Thang Long Industrial Park, near hospitals and schools. Especially, when the urban railway network is completed, there will be 3/8 routes linking the project with other areas such as Noi Bai airport, and Hanoi city center.

The estimated selling price is about 13 million VND/m2 and the rental price is 50,000 VN/m2 per month (does not include VAT).
