Positive results from business performance throughout Viglacera Corporation in February, 2016

Morning 29.02.2016, Viglacera Corporation - JSC held regular briefings with very positive results.

According to the business cycle, the annual February has always been the month that business situation faced many difficulties due to the Tet holiday and effects of the holiday before and after Tet. However, results from manufacturing and business operations of the Corporation Viglacera - JSC are still very positive. Particularly, profits in February 2016 of the whole Corporation reached 119% of the target, increased 30% over the same period in 2015 and reached 11% of the annual plan; Target business value throughout the Corporation in February reached VND 897 billion, equivalent to 117% of monthly target, 2-month cumulative profit reached VND 2,217 billion, equivalent to 14% of the annual plan, reaching nearly 100% of the same period.

In February, units of building material production division organized to stop kilns for machinery repair as planned, and restarted operation immediately after the holiday with good quality and stable capacity. Besides, on February 17^th, 2016, Viglacera Ha Long JSC and Viglacera Clinker JSC held a tree planting ceremony and launched a production expansion (phase II) of  Clinker project as well as inaugurated the 100% roofing tile conversion project in a factory in Hoanh Bo. This is a positive step of Ha Long, the eldest brother of the terracotta group, with the orientation of the Corporation is to minimize the consumption of raw materials, resulting in reduction of emissions while switching to thin, high-value product manufacturing.

Also in February, on 19/02/2016, Viglacera Tien Son JSC held a ceremony to inaugurate the project "Investment in production expansion of High-end Granite Tiles Phase 2 – Viglacera Thai Binh Plant" to supply markets with more advanced tiles at higher resolution pattern using inkjet technology on digital printer. This is considered a high-end product type when it combines lots of solid foundation in engineering, technology, customer tastes and distribution systems... This is also a type of product which is expected to continue to dominate the high-end granite tile market in assuring Viglacera brand-name.

In real estate sector, after the tree planting ceremony on 16/02/2016 (9th of January in Lunar Year) in Phu Ha Industrial Park - Phu Tho, Viglacera Corporation - JSC held a groundbreaking ceremony for construction of Tien Hai industrial Park – Thai Binh on 19/02/2016 (12th of January in Lunar Year). Along with that is the preparation of groundbreaking of Yen Phong 1 (expansion) Industrial Park (expected on 07/03/2016).

Real Estate Division also continues to organize programs and events to sell projects:  Dang Xa façade project; 671 Hoang Hoa Tham Street; Xuan Phuong lower floors; Thang Long No1; Bac Ninh 6 Crossroad; Lam Vien villas in Dang Xa, and to lease industrial parks: Phu Ha, Yen Phong 1, Phong Dien, as well as to focus on reviewing, speeding up construction progress and quality of the project: Project 671 HHT, Dang Xa façade project, Bac Ninh 6 Crossroad. The Division also carry on inspection and assessment of operation and management status before and after Lunar New Year to complete management process in the projects, industrial parks and urban areas.

At the meeting, General Director Nguyen Anh Tuan has recommended the Divisions, Departments: to immediately deploy necessary work to tighten work discipline after the holiday; to sign performance commitments with specific and detailed goals; to closely follow targets assigned to each department, division in the units; to work aggressively right from the early months to achieve and exceed March plan, then achieve the 1^st quarter targets. In addition to work deployment in every unit, department & division of the Corporation should focus on inspection, monitoring the implementation in each unit to improve business performance in March, creating momentum for business performance in the second quarter of 2016.

From the cumulative results of the first 2 months, 2016 is considered having many positive signals compared to the same period in 2015, the Corporation has achieved 9/11 of the main targets and exceeded the same period in 2015. Through the signed 2016 plan commitment minutes, right at the beginning of  the year, the Corporation has given strong direction to improve the efficiency of business activities of those units which have not achieved good results, particularly for Terracotta and Glass Divisions to achieve quality and efficiency as soon as production restart after the holiday.
