On the morning of June 29, 2018, Viglacera Corporation-JSC held the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders 2018 at the National Convention Center - No. 2 Thang Long Avenue, Hanoi. Business activities results in 2017 has exceeded the targets of the General Assembly, especially for the first time, Viglacera reached the combined profit before tax of just over 1,000 billion VND. In addition, Viglacera sets its 2018 business targets higher than that of 2017, the parent company's profit will be over 11% and 9.5% for dividend payout.

On 25/5/2018, Viglacera Corporation - Joint Stock Company cooperated with MB Securities JSC to organized the seminar "State capital withdrawal - investment opportunity of Viglacera Corporation - Joint Stock Company" for the purpose of divestment 80.579 .262 shares. The seminar was held at Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange in Ho Chi Minh City - 16 Vo Van Kiet, District 1. The program attracted a large number of domestic and foreign investors.

On the morning of May 3, Viglacera Corporation held a meeting to assess the business results in April 2018 and deploy the business plan in May 2018.

After nearly 3 years of bringing Viglacera products into the Cuban market, researching and assessing the demand as well as the development orientation of Cuba, Central America and Caribe, Viglacera Corporation decided to invest in direct production of building materials in Cuba. With the support of the two governments of Vietnam and Cuba, the close co-operation of the Cuban partners, together with Viglacera's determination, the procedures for establishing the business have been completed. The ceremony of announcing and signing the contract to launch a joint venture manufacturing building materials between Viglacera and Cuban partners has been solemnly held in La Habana, Cuba.

On 26 April, 2018 in Ho Chi Minh City, Viglacera celebrated the Day of liberating the South for national reunification 30 April and the Labor Day 1 May by a signing ceremony: Design, supply, installation equipment, provide training and technology transfer of the ultra-white float glass production line, the capacity of 600 tons/ day with Khai Thinh Group

In the first year of the Vietnam Property Awards 2018, the Dang Xa Social Housing Project invested by the Viglacera Infrastructure Development Investment Company has been selected as "Best Social Housing" in Vietnam by jury.

With 10 consecutive years as Vietnamese Excellent Brand, Viglacera once again confirms the endless efforts of the coporation in building and developing the brand in domestic and international markets.

On the morning of 9 April, Viglacera Corporation held a meeting to assess the business results in the first quarter of 2018 and to deploy the business plan in second quarter of 2018. Accordingly, Viglacera set a strong growth of main business indicators of the second quarter compared with the first quarter.

On March 29, the Cuban Government issued a license to invest in the Mariel Development Zone for ViMariel SA - the first fully foreign-invested enterprise in Cuba invested by Viglacera. The two governments expected that this will strongly improve to the economic development of the Caribbean island.
